Future Film Festival 2021

As a submission previewer, my role included judging and cataloguing submitted films and making recommendations for selection and prizes. I was responsible for practical tasks including organising submissions by genre and checking they met entry requirements as well as more critical tasks such as rating submissions, recommending them for awards and writing up thoughts on each entry. In total, I previewed around 175 entries over the course of three months.
I was also part of the jury for the Best Experimental Film Award and helped to create promotional content for the festival's event programme.
About the Future Film Festival: Run by the British Film Institute, the Festival is the largest festival for young filmmakers in the United Kingdom. Since its first edition in 2008, the Festival has screened works by emerging filmmakers aged 16-25 as well as providing training, events and networking over the course of four days each year in February.
