This online exhibition featured works by four emerging contemporary artists, working across the media of sculpture, painting and photography. The title, taken from Susan Sontag, was intended to examine the potential of ordinary objects to be used for artistic expression, taking things we have become so accustomed to so as to be numb to them and force a re-evaluation of them, and by extension, other assumptions we made.
Working remotely, I and my co-curator put the exhibition together from idea to publication, including creating a digital platform to host it. Our tasks included writing and refining the proposal, sending out the open call, finding and selecting artists and works, writing exhibition literature and publishing the finished work digitally. Alongside this, I managed social media output, creating content to share before and during the exhibition. I also created the technical backend for the platform including the website, submission form and completed webpage.

About Milk Teeth: This platform was set up in 2020 by myself and a friend with the aim of showing works by emerging artists and exploring new ways of exhibiting work in an accessible format. The website can be found here.
